Advocacy Day on Capitol Hill
Join us for Advocacy Day, where industry comes together to make an impact on Capitol Hill.
This exciting activity is your opportunity to meet directly with U.S. Senators and Representatives and/or their staffs to advance the priorities of the water power industry (including conventional hydro, pumped storage, and marine energy).
With all logistics and meetings carefully coordinated by NHA staff, you’ll be armed with essential materials, including fact sheets and talking points, to ensure you’re fully equipped to engage with confidence.
The Advocacy Associates app, your all-in-one tool for seamless advocacy, will be available to everyone this year. The app includes your personalized meeting schedule, biographies of Members of Congress, details about other participants, and an interactive map to help you navigate Capitol Hill with ease.
Also, be sure to attend the session on Tuesday, March 10, at 4:15 PM ET titled: "Advocacy Day Preparation: Training for Participants."
Questions? Email Allyson Travis at NHA ([email protected]).
Why Advocate?
Research shows that in-person meetings with constituents are one of the most influential forms of advocacy, often shaping legislative decisions more effectively than other advocacy strategies. Personal stories, along with local data, can leave a lasting impression, so come prepared to share how hydropower drives clean energy and economic growth in your community.
Whether you're a seasoned advocate or new to policy engagement, your voice can make a powerful difference in moving our industry forward!
