Agency ‘Lightning’ Briefings and Informal Meet and Greets
This is a unique oppportunity for Water Power Week attendees to hear from and interact with representatives of multiple federal government agencies who affect hydropower, pumped storage, and/or marine energy.
This activity is divided into two parts:
- Part 1: 'Lightning' Briefings: each participating agency representative provides a short update on how the agency is implementing the Administration’s energy priorities.
- Part 2: Informal Meet and Greets: After these briefings, representatives of each agency will be available to engage in informal conversations with attendees about the agency's roles in hydropower licensing, environmental review, research and development, and more. These conversations are meant to be an opportunity for low-pressure, candid exchange that helps agencies better understand where processes create uncertainty, where coordination can improve, and where clearer guidance would support timely and effective outcomes.
