Shoreline Management and Recreation Workshop: Conflict Management, Compliance, and Multi-Use Operations
Brought to you by:

This 3-hour shoreline management and recreation workshop is designed specifically for Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) licensees and their consultants who manage land resources, recreation, and shoreline permitting under hydropower licenses.
With prior shoreline management and recreation conferences no longer being organized, this workshop begins to revive what past participants found most valuable: practical, candid, face-to-face dialogue among peers and direct interaction with FERC staff.
Participants will leave the workshop with clearer insights, stronger professional connections, and actionable approaches to managing shoreline and recreation programs more effectively.
What's Being Offered
The workshop will focus on real-world challenges in shoreline and recreation management, including permitting consistency, compliance, recreation planning and capacity, public access, and evolving stakeholder expectations. Time will be structured to encourage discussion, shared lessons learned, and problem-solve across projects and regions, rather than formal presentations.

3. Licensee Case Study: Example of Challenges on the Ground
