The U.S. Department of Energy Realignment – What You Need to Know

Time: 10:45 AM - 11:45 AM
Room Number: Room 10/11
Day: 3/11/2026

Since the beginning of the Trump Administration, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) implemented several organizational changes. This session provides a high-level overview of the changes and practical guidance on how to navigate DOE’s updated structure.

Attendees will gain insight into what's changed (and what hasn't) for project owners and developers, technology developers, and researchers in the hydropower, pumped storage, and marine energy sectors looking to work with the Department of Energy. Learn up-to-date information about ongoing awards, Section 240 funding, new types of funding mechanisms DOE is exploring, and future priorities for DOE’s Hydropower and Marine Energy Programs.

Designed to cut through ambiguity, this discussion will help participants understand key changes, identify new opportunities, and stay strategically positioned as DOE’s internal structure continues to evolve.
