U.S. Department of Energy Hydropower Test Facility Workshop
Time: 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Room Number: Room 16
Day: 3/11/2026
The U.S. Department of Energy’s Hydropower and Hydrokinetic Office has received support from DOE leadership as well as Congressional direction to continue exploring opportunities for hydropower technology testing.
Stakeholder input and outreach in recent years has informed H2O’s understanding and analysis of the testing needs for the hydropower sector, most notably resulting in a 2022 report from Oak Ridge National Laboratory titled: Needs and Opportunities for Testing of Hydropower Technology Innovations.
Join representatives from the DOE H2O Office to discuss the recommendations in the report and to provide feedback on how industry needs have evolved to inform the future of hydropower testing.
