Sam Owen

Role: Table Facilitator

Sam Owen serves as a Government Relations Director for the American Public Power Association (APPA). APPA is the voice of not-for-profit, community-owned utilities that serve 55 million people in approximately 2,000 towns and cities nationwide. Sam advocates for the hydropower, nuclear, unmanned aircraft systems, and Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) policy needs of APPA’s members before Congress and the administration. Sam has prior Capitol Hill experience in the offices of former U.S. Senator Mike Enzi and the Environment and Public Works Committee. He is a graduate of the University of Wyoming
