Amanda Fleming is an Environmental Affairs Specialist with Alabama Power Company, where she supports hydropower projects within the Environmental Affairs Water Compliance department. Her work focuses on environmental permitting, regulatory compliance, and the integration of cultural and natural resource considerations into project planning and operations. Amanda has experience coordinating cultural and archaeological resource reviews for hydroelectric facilities, and extensive training in Section 106 and tribal engagement. Her work regularly involves collaboration with engineers, consultants, regulatory agencies, and Tribal Nations to facilitate hydropower compliance. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and a Master of Science in Environmental Affairs and Management. Drawing from her consulting and utility sector experience, she advises on hydropower operations, cultural resource protection, and stewardship of historic resources in complex regulatory settings.
