Sophia Katz

Sophie Katz is an outdoor recreation planner in the Land Resources Branch within the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission’s Division of Hydropower Administration and Compliance. She has served in this role for the past three years, focusing on recreation management, cultural resources, land use and aesthetic resources, and other terrestrial resource areas. Sophie’s professional background includes fieldwork in outdoor recreation, with experience spanning system-wide trail planning and management to environmental education programming. Sophie holds a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources Management from Virginia Tech, and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Colorado Denver.
