Kannan Sivaprakasam

Kannan Sivaprakasam joined the Hydropower and Hydrokinetic Office (H2O) as an AAAS Science and Technology Policy Fellow, where Kannan supported both hydropower and hydrokinetic programs. Following the fellowship, Kannan transitioned to H2O as a contractor, serving as a Hydropower Fleet Engineer. In this role, Kannan supports the Fleet Modernization and Cybersecurity subactivity area. Prior to joining H2O, Kannan was a tenured full professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at St. Cloud State University (SCSU) in St. Cloud, Minnesota, where Kannan also served as Graduate Director for the Materials Science and Instrumentation program. Earlier in Kannan’s career, Kannan worked in the pharmaceutical industry as an Analytical Chemist. Kannan currently resides in Danville (PA).
