Kara Meckley

Kara Meckley is a division chief for NOAA's National Marine Fisheries Service, based in Silver Spring, Maryland. She has over 20 years of experience with NOAA, bringing a broad background in habitat conservation programs and authorities. In her current role, she oversees the agency's national hydropower work and ensures coordination among NMFS regions regarding the implementation of its Federal Power Act authorities. Her work is key to ensuring NMFS meets both mandated responsibilities and Administration priorities.
